Yamato 12 Head Combination Scale with:

• Combination scale is a net weigh scale system designed to minimize product giveaway.  Product is fed onto a distribution pan from an infeed device such as a vibratory infeed, bucket conveyor or belt conveyor.  The level of the product on the distribuition pan is controlled by a product level switch.  Product is then distributed to twelve linear feed pans.  These linear feed pans deliver a timed supply of product to feed buckets.  Feed buckets are used as staging hoppers in which product is held prior to loading the weigh buckets.  Whenever a weigh bucket is empty, the corresponding feed bucket will discharge product into it.  Each weigh bucket is mounted to a strain gauge load cell.  These lead cells accurately weigh the amount of product in each weigh bucket and then transfer this data to the microprocessor.  The microprocessor computes all posssible combinations and selects the one that is closest to (either equal to or greater than) the tarket weight.  When a combination is selected, appropiate weigh buckets open and product transfers down a collating chute and into the base machine.  The maximum dischargable pack weight is determined by a programmable tolerance.
• Stagger dump option is available and is used where an extremely large volume of product has a potential to bridge in the outfeed chute of the scale.
• Automatic feed control option is available.  This function is designed to compensate for small changes in product distribution.  The system will automatically adjust the feed time and the pan amplitudes based on changes in the amount of product fed into each weigh head.
